webMethods Financial Adapters - Momentum

My current end-client is a federal agency (name withheld). Naturally, we're not contracting directly with them because my company is not the size of Accenture. As a federal agency, like many of the other agencies, they are in the process of revamping their financial systems so they can more efficiently spend our tax dollars and report more quickly on exactly how it was done.

Federal agency financial systems must meet accountability and efficiency ratings as required by the President's management agenda. As a result, the evolution of standards for federal financial management systems meet or exceed the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) , a federal-specific financial management system of requirements.

Many companies provide solutions for this complex set of requirements, but one company in particular has a specific solution to address the problem and provide Integration with webMethods:

CGI-AMS, Inc.

The Momentum Financials System has configuration options for implementation with zero customizations needed. However, I've never seen this system deployed without customization.

The Momentum Financials webMethods Adapter represents an incredible architecture that truly defines the meaning of Adapter!

The complexity of knowledge needed to implement a call into the Mometum system sometimes results in blood-boiling episodes, but the end result will make any Integration Specialist smile.

With this adapter, I can connect any legacy application into the Momentum System via webMethods. Methods to connect are countless. Broker, webServices, direct TCP/IP calls, file polling to name a few!

In addition, there's a myriad of projects currently in the Metro Washington DC area that require webMethods Pros with Momentum experience.

It's a good technology to get under your belt! This federal system won't go away any time soon.
