Oracle 10g is a hog

I installed Oracle 10g on my laptop and it seems to be working but it took up about 1.5gb and about 300mb of my memory. I am using the WmJDBC 6.03 package without any problems. I'll write back if I come across any issues.

10g kicks it... it has all web interfaces and makes the administration much easier. Go Larry!

I found it very interesting that Oracle 10G uses GRID-based technology. Such a large corporation, switching from traditional client-server to GRID. Of course, I've only read the marketing materials and haven't played enough to see if the switch is a *true* switch. As webServices become more popular, you will see more companies adopting GRID technology (See Fabric). webMethods is one of the first, so I wonder if their competitors will try the same? Bye-Bye client Server, hello p2p!!!
